Harbour rules
Marina Kornati with a hotel small harbour (hereby: marina) is a unique organizational part which operates under the administration of the Ilirija Inc. Biograd n/m.
Once they have entered the harbour, owners, i.e. users of sailboats, are obliged to report their arrival at the reception. The use of the marina should be in accordance with the agreement previously concluded, i.e. booked and paid service.
Any user or visitor is obliged to abide by the rules and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In addition, they are asked to act by the rules of the harbour’s authorities.
Loitering and unauthorized stay inside marina is at visitors’ or users’ own responsibility.
Owner, i.e. user of the sailboat, is obliged to keep its boat in a functioning and waterproof condition. According to the installed mooring system, sailboats should be moored in a safe and accurate way by using ropes of appropriate dimensions. Marina Kornati authority is entitled to take measures in order to protect a sailboat at the owner’s cost.
Before leaving a sailboat users are reminded to switch off all electrical and water installations. Nautical rules, as well as the rules of conduct are of international validity and as such should be well known to yachtsmen. We explicitly remind you of certain bans:
- it is banned to sail into or out of marina in a sudden way
- it is banned to harm the environment inside the marina: to pollute it by using oil, petrol or any other polluting materials, sewage and bilge content included.
- it is banned to set open fire and bring personal safety as well as the safety of others in question
- it is banned to engage in underwater works inside the harbour pool, anchoring included
- it is banned to keep propellers working, unless it is deemed inevitable
- it is banned to swim, sunbathe on quays, sail, surf or fish inside the harbour
It is banned to use berths for commercial purposes without the explicit approval issued by Marina Kornati authority.
The conditions of stay for foreign sailboats are subjected to customs regulations.
Users of the services in Marina Kornati are obliged to abide by the contractual rules stated in these rules of conducted in Marina Kornati.
Any instance of severe or perpetual breaches of these rules of conduct entitles Marina Kornati authority to terminate the contract, i.e. to deny its services.
